PPC Account Manager and Graduate Trainee – 2 New Job Vacancies in Digital Marketing Agency in Leicester

Due to continued growth and securing some exciting new contracts – we are looking for two new members of staff to join our Pay per click (PPC) and ecommerce marketing team, based at our agency head office in Leicester, in the East Midlands:

1) PPC Senior Account Manager  – salary circa £20,000 – £24,000 based on experience

  • AdWords Certified Individual (minimum of 1 advanced module), Analytics accreditation an advantage
  • A minimum of 3 year’s experience, handling agency accounts or large in-house campaigns
  • Multi-platform experience, including Bing, Facebook and LinkedIn ads
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with ecommerce experience as you will also be involved with implementation of ChannelAdvisor for multichannel management for ecommerce clients
  • You will be expected to live within easy commuting distance of Leicester city centre
  • We would consider recruiting at the Account Manager level for candidates with only 2 year’s experience (salary circa £18,000 – £20,000 depending on experience)

 

2) Trainee PPC account executive – graduate intern – salary of £15,000

  • We are looking for a recent graduate to train as a PPC marketing executive, through our Graduate Placement Scheme – previous candidates are welcome to reapply
  • It is likely that you will have a recent degree in Marketing, Business Studies, accounting, Maths or another “quantitative degree”.  You must be highly numerate and an advanced user of Excel
  • Preference will be giving to graduates from Leicester, De Montfort and Loughborough University; or from graduates wanting to return home to live in Leicester.

Successful candidates will initially report to our “Senior PPC and Ecommerce Account Manager”. The role in the first 3 months will be mainly to work on new PPC accounts. The account manager will be expected to take on supervisory and management responsibility by the end of the 6 months probationary period.

The trainee will be provided with full training on all aspects of PPC marketing, with support from our existing team of 4 experts.  There is a defined career structure and we are looking to train and groom you to become an account manager within 12 months.  Therefore you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be hungry to work in a rapidly growing agency.

Senior Account Manager

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for liaising with clients to ascertain their PPC requirements, setting up and management of PPC accounts. Reporting, invoicing and budgeting (plus identifying sales opportunities). Day-to-day management of PPC account executives.

Key Job Outcomes

  1. After receiving new account requirements directly from clients or from other senior members of the team, the post holder is responsible for preparing and delivering tailored proposal to the client.  This would include researching the keyword market and developing an account strategy.
  2. Responsible for setting up the PPC campaign, using AdWords Editor, Google Search, and MicroSoft AdCentre (and others as required – see below).  Responsible for writing account copy and identifying landing pages, which should be regularly reviewed and their accurate representation of the clients’ business ensured.  Guarantee that all required conversion tracking/analytics code has been sent to client and check it has been implemented correctly.
  3. Responsible for ongoing optimisation of all aspects of the account based on analysis and performance. Responsible for regularly reviewing competitor activity.
  4. Responsible for checking accounts are on target for spend and amending budget accordingly.  Ensuring budget caps are regularly reviewed, especially important at the beginning of a month, or when available budget changes.
  5. Responsible for monthly reporting using online reporting tools (Google Analytics, MicroSoft AdCentre and our in house reporting system Reflex) to obtain the results.  Prepare the report with relevant insights, findings and suggestions and implement changes when approved.
  6. Identifying opportunities to use other pay per click platforms eg Facebook and LinkedIn. Creation of proposals, setting up of accounts, optimisation and reporting
  7. Ability to review website Analytics data in order to improve the effectiveness of PPC campaigns and the performance of  the website
  8. Identifying opportunities to cross-sell other digital marketing products, such as websites or SEO. Liaise with digital marketing staff with regard to integrated projects.
  9. Keeping up to date with industry information, innovations and accreditation’s.
  10. To perform any duties required by their manager deemed essential to the job.
  11. Supervision and training of paid search team and allocation of daily tasks for paid search executives. Ensuring quality of their work and any external communication with clients.
  12. Responsible for all ongoing customers meetings. Attend/manage all customer meetings (unless they are new accounts)
  13. Assist with the development of PPC business and other digital marketing services
  14. Use of ChannelAdvsior for ecommerce websites (training will be provided for this)

Trainee Account Executive
