Twitter launches Twellow 2.0 – a Free Yellow Pages service

Written by Ann Stanley on 19th December 2011

Twitter has launched a new version of its free yellow pages directory – Twellow 2.0 – to help you connect with millions of public Twitter users.

Twellow was first launched in 2007 but as the social network has grown to be one of the biggest in the world the directory has grown to allow users to find Tweeple who have similar interests, live in the same area or are simply deemed worth following.

You can search hundreds of categories and there are different search features to help you find people including Twellowhood.

Twellowhood allows you to find users that matter in your neighbourhood. Simply click on the map to see how many influential users there are and start browsing the results list.

You can see in the image below that Leicester has 5,806 people in the Twellowhood directory.
