Tuesday 6th March 2018 5:30pm – 7:30pm
The Exchange Bar, (Basement) – 50 Cultural Quarter, Leicester LE1 1RD
The topic of our next meet-up will be on cyber-security presented by Trevor Wood from Network Midlands Ltd. In May 2017, the NHS were left vulnerable following a global cyber attack which caused major disruption. This has thrust the issue of cyber security into the limelight. Having effective cyber security reduces the risk of cyber attacks, and protects both companies and individuals from the unauthorised exploitation of systems, networks and technologies.
Trevor will discuss common social engineering techniques – phishing, spear phishing and whaling. He will provide tips on staying cyber-safe! This is a must for anyone operating in the digital age. This is an interactive session – come prepared to participate!
